We thank you for supporting our mission of increasing access to capital for underfunded and overlooked leaders and communities in Canada!

Sometimes, we don’t notice the patterns until we start to track them.

New Power Labs started from conversations about the patterns of how capital flows — patterns that are exclusive of Canada’s talent and diversity.

From those early conversations emerged a network of capital deployers, foundations, impact investors, credit unions, asset managers, and more, all united by a common goal: to increase access to capital for underfunded and overlooked leaders, founders and communities in Canada.

From gender identity, Indigenous identity, ethnicity, sexual identity, age, religion, abilities, languages, education, citizenship status, and socioeconomic status — we have the opportunity to unlock the full potential of Canada.

We are mapping data to uncover and disrupt the patterns to increase access to capital for diverse leaders, founders, and communities.

We are just getting started.

We launched the New Power Network this fall with a pioneering community. Originating from a core group of capital deployers, it has grown into a dynamic movement comprising 20 member organizations, and we continue to welcome others to join us in driving transformative systems change.
